Sudarshanam Ayurveda is one of the best eye hospital or panchakarma center in pathanamthitta.Netra Foundation was conceived in 1989 and 'Sudarshanam Netra Chikitsalayam' was established formally on 12 April-1993 inaugurated by Adv.N.S.Prabhakaran Pillai (NSS Thiruvalla Taluk Union President) and the campus was later shifted to permanent at Thymala Manjadi on 30th August 2009 inaugurated by Actor Philanthropist Bharat Suresh Gopi in presence of Mr.Aditya Ruia and his Mother Mrs.Veena Ruia, MLA Adv.Mathew.T.Thomas, Municipal Chairman Late Jacob Vanchipalam Sri.Prathapa Chandra Varma, Tantri Akkiramon Kalidasa Bhattathiri and others.... The first floor of the hospital was dedicated to Late Mr.Balkrishna Lal Pittie.
Netra Foundation was founded under the auspices of Paramacharya of Kanchi Kama Koti Peedom Shri Shri. Chandra Shekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kancheepuram in the campus of Netracharya Late N.V. Kuttikrishnan Nair (1921 - 2003) at Niranam near Thiruvalla, Kerala India . The Holi Paduka and a Coconut blessed by the Paramacharya himself is being worshipped in the hospital since then.

Dr.B.G.Gokulan (BAMS)

Chief Physician & CEO at Sudarshanam Dr.Gokulan after graduation in Ayurveda from prestigious Coimbatore Ayurveda College (for 7 1/2 years Gurukula model) had in house training under Gurus like Late Ashta Vaidyan Vaidya Madhom Valiya Narayanan Namboodiri Late VaidyaBhooshanam Raghavan thirumulpad and Late Netracharya N.V.Kuttikrishnan Nair.Mean while He was also invited by Padmabhooshan Dr.S.S.Badrinath of Sankara Nethralaya Chennai for an informal fellowship on Modern Ophthalmology diagnostics and research.Dr.Gokulan carries about a quarter century of expertise in clinical Ayurveda.

Dr. Chitra Rajan (BAMS)

Passed out with colours from Govt.Ayurveda College Thiruvananthapuram in 1988, She had served at Trivandrum since then and was practicing as Medical Officer at The Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam & Research Institute under The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy(CBE)Ltd; Coimbatore when she Joined Sudarshanam as Senior Medical Officer in 1999. She has extensive training and practice in Panchakarma and other Sodhana treatments in Ayurveda.
