Department of Architecture

Three levels of Interior Design Courses offered by the Department of Architecture are One year Certificate programme in Interior Design, Two-year Executive Diploma in Interior Design and Three year Professional Diploma in Interior Design.

Interior Design
Interior Designing is an art of facilitating built environment for human activities according to their requirements. It is needed a thinking process based on human psychology, society concerns, current technology, financial aspect, climate condition, anthropometry and ergonomics, aesthetic compassion, health issues, etc for accomplishing a design successfully. Activities of an interior design professional are riveted with different stages of design process. It starts with an effective communication with the clients and goes through the various activities like collection of data, sketching, modeling, documenting, estimation and coasting, installation, monitoring, etc. Nowadays computer-aided interior visualization is become one of the most powerful tool for an interior designer, which help an effective communication between people involved in the entire interior design process.
