Sree Chithira Thirunal Smaraka Sangeetha Natya Kala Kendram was established in 1992 by a group of dedicated individuals and accomplished masters in the fields of music and dance. The institution was founded to honor the legacy of His Highness Sree Chithira Thirunal, who hailed from a lineage of renowned royal exponents of the arts, including Raja Ravi Varma and Swathi Thirunal. The Kendram aims to preserve and promote classical art forms in their true spirit, making them accessible to all and rejuvenating them from their confinement in royal courts to the common stages of today.

Our vision is to spread the joy of music and dance to every corner of the world. We strive to make learning accessible, engaging, and fun. By offering courses that meet internationally established standards of excellence, we aim to empower learners to explore, compose, and excel in their chosen fields. The institute emphasizes nurturing creativity, performance skills, and teaching abilities to create future ambassadors of Indian arts.
Our Mission
To ensure the study of art becomes an integral part of everyday life, creating an environment where the rhythm of the Thamburu resonates within every household. With blessings from the Travancore Royal family, the Kendram is dedicated to nurturing and revitalizing Kerala’s artistic heritage. As the first attempt in the cooperative sector for art studies, the institution operates with the support and goodwill of art enthusiasts, without any profit motives, for the collective growth of art and culture.
