Collaborative research in design is becoming increasingly important and relevant. CAT ties up with some of the world's renowned universities and organizations in interdisciplinary initiatives that offer opportunities for students exchange and participation.

Vision: CAT is to be a global D-school for making positive change in the design of built environment through creative and collaborative academic engagements
Mission: CAT envisages to be "an institute of choice" by promoting a creative, research driven and learner friendly environment . It is committed to develop a community of learners into lead practitioners in areas of sustainability and livability of built environment.

Collaboration

CAT collaborates with some of the world's renowned institutes for interdisciplinaryactivities, training and research initiatives.The institute has obtained the Netherlands Fellowship Programme in year 2015and completed the faculty Training under NUFFIC Tailor Made Training conducted by SAXION UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES- NETHERLANDS.

The institute has executed the memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) with Saxion, University of Applied Sciences, to cooperate on education,consultancy and research. It opens opportunities for student exchange,staff exchange and joint research and training.

Research

The institute is conducting action research for all design studios both by students and faculty and systematic reviews are being organized with external practitioners and academics to promote the need to look at issues from multidisciplinary view points afresh every time. The college believes that all problems new or old,do have more efficient and appropriate solutions based on the uniqueness of the context.
