The Kurtos

The Kurtos is made from entirely natural ingredients, wrapped like a ribbon around a wooden roller, heavily sprinkled with sugar and baked above an open fire or in specially designed ovens. While it's still hot it could be covered with sprinkles or left in its natural look with shiny and crispy covering over the golden crust. The strange name derives from the Hungarian word kürtő that refers to chimney, because of its shape and the smoke coming out of it when it is hot.
