Dhariya

The name Dhariya might not ring a bell, but most of the foodies will know about Supreme Bakers. Supreme or popularly known as Kollam Supreme owns a number of restaurants and bakeries all over Kerala. Dhariya restaurant is also a subsidiary of this restaurant chain and doesn’t disappoint you in any way.

Varieties of Biriyanies, the only regular dish served at this restaurant is prepared at the central kitchen owned by Supreme and transported to this place and served here. Most of the customers who visit this place are techies from nearby Techno Park and other technical institutions nearby. This restaurant is located right before Police station, Kazhakoottam, when you are coming from Kazhakoottam Junction. This small one room dining area restaurant, has a very little space in front of the restaurant for parking but you can find parking by the roadside near to the restaurant.

Chicken, Mutton and Veg are the varieties of biriyanies served here. During weekends when they experience heavy rush they also include Arabian equivalent of local Biriyani, Kabasa too to their frugal menu. All the dishes directly bought from their center kitchen are kept in heated containers to be served at its best to their customers. They use the same rice for both the non-vegetarian Biriyanies, which are mixed with corresponding non veg masalas on order from their customers. Salad, beet root pickle and date pickle served with their Biriyani shows how the attention to such minor details can affect the taste of the overall dish in a big way.

Lemon tea commonly served with all their biriyanies adds a nice finishing touch to all their dishes after the dizzying tasty of their ghee filled Biriyani dishes. Prepared at this restaurant with a mixture of local spices the taste of their lemon tea after finishing the biriyani is exceptional.

Although the whole place might look bit small, quality of Supreme Bakers has been maintained in the ambience of the place too. Decently furnished, the whole restaurant is maintained neat and clean. Parcel customers also equal in number who do not want to have a hassle in the rush at this place during lunch hours.
