Gurusmaraka Vaidhyasala was established by K Govindhan Vaidhyar in 1948 in Kaithepalam, a village near Pampady. Initially situated there, it later moved to Pampady after years of dedicated service. Following K Govindhan Vaidhyar's tenure, which spanned 14 years, Smt. Chinnamma Govindan took over leadership in 1962 upon his passing. Known fondly as Kumarakam Chechi by the community, the vaidhyasala became synonymous with her name, evolving into Kumarakam Chechi's Vaidhyasala.
Over the next two decades, Smt. Chinnamma Govindan served with distinction until 1982, when her daughter, Smt. Bhaimi Narayanan, assumed leadership. Continuing the legacy of Kumarakam Chechi, Smt. Bhaimi Narayanan dedicated an impressive 37 years as the principal vaidhya, solidifying her role as the heart of the establishment.
Today, as the fourth and fifth generations of doctors, we carry forward the esteemed legacy of our ancestors through Gurusmaraka Vaidhyasala. We remain committed to serving the public with the same dedication and traditional expertise that has defined our family's practice for decades.
