About Bishop Jerome Vijnana Vihar

Bishop Jerome Vijnana Vihar (BJVV), Kollam is a Multi Skill Training Center. It was established by Bishop Jerome Memorial Trust in 2003. It is an extension of Fatima Mata National College, Kollam. Since inception, we have been conducting various training programmes Viz IELTS/TOEFL; European Languages like French, German, Italian and Spanish; Spoken English, Soft Skill Development Programmes; and many other courses in the past. Recently we have also started coaching for OET and PTE. Further, we also conduct Coaching classes for all Govt. Jobs – PSC, RRB, SSC, Banks, Boards, Companies, Corporations, Universities, Govt. local bodies, Central govt. etc for SSLC, Plus Two and Degree levels. We also give coaching in Basic Computer Skills .

BJVV is thus dedicated to the task of equipping young men and women for challenging jobs in today’s world which has become a global village, where professionally qualified men and women with right skills and talents only find their niche. BJVV shapes and sharpens the skills of the candidates and makes them suitable for their dream jobs.

Our Courses

1. IELTS, TOEFL, OET & PTE

1 (a). IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the world’s most popular English language test. Taking IELTS opens doors - it can help you to live, study and work around the world. More than 9,000 organizations worldwide accept IELTS, including Government, academic and employment institutions. In fact, IELTS is the only English language test accepted for immigration purposes by all countries that require one. IELTS is endorsed by experts from Universities, professional bodies, Governmental agencies and employers all over the world.

1 (b). TOEFL is an online examination for candidates migrating to USA, Canada etc. We also provide separate training programme for candidates.

1 (c). Recently we have started coaching for Occupational Englih Test (OET) and Pearson Test of English (PTE) for nurses going abroad.

Bishop Jerome Vijnana Vihar is an IELTS registration centre . We are also an IELTS partner for Coaching of IDP: IELTS Australia – So now, BJVV is a well acclaimed centre for the registration of IELTS British Council & IDP Australia.

IELTS Test Structure
To obtain an IELTS Test Report Form all candidates must complete four Modules:

a. Listening b. Reading c. Writing d. Speaking

The Aggregate Score of the four modules ranges from 0-9

Academic and General Training:

There is a choice between Academic and General Training. The difference is only on the Reading and Writing Modules.
Listening and Speaking Modules are the same for both General Training and Academic Training.
The tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from non-user to expert user.

Training at BJVV

Our coaching aims at:
(a) Improving the standard of English and (b) Training in strategies for taking the test.
We provide excellent opportunities to develop the four skills – Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. Special attention is paid to improve the speaking skill. Every error in grammar and vocabulary is corrected and explained in the writing module and students are encouraged to practice writing and reading on a variety of topics. Mock tests are conducted periodically to assess the learner’s progress. The effectiveness of our system is reflected in the excellent scores secured by our students. 2. PSC Coaching
We are also offering excellent coaching for jobs in PSC, SSC, Banks, other posts like Gr.II Asst. in various Boards, Companies, Corporations, PSU, posts in RRB like Loco Pilot / Group D, University & KSFE Asst., Panchayat & Muncipal Secretary, VEO, Taluk supply officer, Station officer, Librarian, LD Clerk, LD Typist, Police Constable, KSRTC Conductor, Fireman, Clerk Typist, Field Asst., Postal Asst., Forest Guard, Male Warden, Lab Asst., Villageman etc.
