Ursuline Senior Secondary School, Kannur, is owned by the Ursuline Sisters of Mary Immaculate, a Congregation founded in Italy, in the 17th century with the aim of educating young girls. It had its humble beginning in the year 1959 as Montessori House of Children. This school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and has classes from LKG to standard XII. Evidently, over the years, it has grown into a full-fledged institution with a strength of around 2200 pupils and 99 teaching and non-teaching staff.
The school was opened for both boys and girls. From 1986 onwards it was limited to ‘Girls only’. Our first batch of students appeared for the All India Secondary School Examination in 1981 and ‘Plus 2’ in March 1990. Ever since, the school has been maintaining 100% results.
The cent percent results obtained by our pupils in the All India Secondary and Sr. Secondary School Examinations throughout the years is a remarkable achievement.
