160 years back, Sankaran Vaidyar started Prabarya as a model of social service. He has been blessed with the wisdom of the ancient texts complemented by the abundant insights of home remedies. A successful Vaidyar himself, Sankaran Vaidyar bestowed it later upon his brother Damodaran Vaidyar who had run it with all its sanctity for almost 75 years. The saintly commitment of Damodaran Vaidyar with his creative researches could elevate Prabarya as a profound tradition in Ayurvedic treatment by then. The tradition is now inherited from him by his grandson Dr. Anoop who runs the centre at present.

Dr. Anoop, the managing director of this hospital at present, himself is an expert Ayurveda physician specialised in Yoga, fracture, joint-pain and other orthopaedic conditions.
