About Fr. GKMHS

On July 6, 1982, at Kaniyaram Church, 105 students began their studies in Standard VIII, divided into 3 divisions. On July 12, 1982, the school was inaugurated by His Excellency Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy.

On March 17, 1983, classes started in the new building. Sr. Jayi Maria S.A.B.S. was the Headmistress in charge. Later, Mr. George Karikuzhy, Sr. Leena S.H., Mr. K. U. Cherian, Mr. K. M. Jose, Mr. M. M. Joseph, Mr. M. V. Mathew, Mr. Baby Kuriakose, Mr. Sebastian J. Mukkadan, Mr. Jose Punnakkuzhy, Mr. K. M. Mathai, Mrs. Selin Jose, Mr. Peter Kuruvilla, Mr. Shaju P. A., Mrs. C. Molly P. C., Mrs. C. Mini Abraham, and Mr. Baby John served as Headmasters/Headmistresses. At present, the school has 24 divisions with about 1,139 students, 31 teachers, and 5 office staff. The current Headmistress is Mrs. Jaquiline K. J.

The school, which was started under Kaniyaram Parish, now functions under the Mananthavady Diocesan Corporate Educational Agency (CEADOM). The following priests have served as school managers: Fr. Augustine Kannadikkara, Fr. Joseph Vettikuzhichalil, Fr. Joseph Kallukamakal, Fr. Jose Thekanady, Fr. Augustine Nilakkappallil, Fr. Joseph Nechikkatt, Fr. George Mailadthur, Fr. Paul Mundolickal, and Fr. Sunny Madathil. At present, Fr. Sony Vazhakattu is the school manager.
