Purackal Honda is the authorised dealer for Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Pvt Ltd. (HMSI) in Kottayam District and is owned and managed by Purackal Motors.

Purackal Motors was started in the year 1983, as a partnership business, between Mr. George Jacob, Purackal and Mr. P.J Joseph, Purackal. The first venture of Purackal Motors was as a Rajdooth Dealer. In 1985, when Yamaha partnered with Escorts, and came out with their products, Purackal Motors was the sole dealer in Kottayam District. The partnership between Mr. P .J Joseph and Mr. George Jacob was till 1994.

In the year 1994, Purackal Motors was reformed with 3 new partners, Mrs. Sunila George, Mr. Rahul Jacob George and Miss. Nikita Sara George.

In the year 2000, Purackal Motors was appointed as the Authorised Dealer for Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India LTD (HMSI) for the district of Kottayam. Purackal Honda has 11 4S facilities and 3 Sales Outlets Spread across Kottayam.
