Co-operative National College (CNC), Payannur has been ranked as one of the best Arts and Commerce Colleges under the Kannur University in Kerala. This reputed institution was started in 1990 by the esteemed educationist Prof. A.K Raghavan Nambiar. It was later renamed as the Co-operative National College in 2008, as a subsidiary of Kannur District, Advanced Studies and Career Guidance Co-op Ltd. CNC offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses that cater mainly to the students in and around Kannur and Kasargod districts.

It gives them the opportunity to learn in an environment that promotes democratic norms without a compromise on integrity, with compassion towards society at large. കോ-ഓപ്പറേറ്റീവ് നാഷണൽ കോളേജിനെക്കുറിച്ച് (സിഎൻസി), കേരളത്തിലെ കണ്ണൂർ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിക്ക് കീഴിലുള്ള മികച്ച ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് കൊമേഴ്സ് കോളേജുകളിലൊന്നായി പയ്യന്നൂരിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. 1990-ൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വിചക്ഷണനായ പ്രൊഫ. എ.കെ.രാഘവൻ നമ്പ്യാരാണ് ഈ പ്രശസ്തമായ സ്ഥാപനം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. പിന്നീട് 2008-ൽ കോ-ഓപ്പറേറ്റീവ് നാഷണൽ കോളേജ് എന്ന് പുനർനാമകരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു, അഡ്വാൻസ്ഡ് സ്റ്റഡീസ് ആൻഡ് കരിയർ ഗൈഡൻസ് കോ-ഓപ് ലിമിറ്റഡിന്റെ ഒരു അനുബന്ധ സ്ഥാപനമായി CNC പ്രധാനമായും കണ്ണൂർ, കാസർകോട് ജില്ലകളിലെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് വേണ്ടിയുള്ള ബിരുദ, ബിരുദാനന്തര കോഴ്സുകൾ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. .
