When K. M. Abdulla first discussed about prospects of establishing an independent cold storage facility at Aroor in Alappuzha district of Kerala, Ahmed Azhar (Babu) had no idea about the world his father-in-law was leading him to. By then, Abdulla had nearly half-a-century’s experience in the industry.

When he made his first tour to Japan along with Abdulla, as part of latter’s longstanding business with Mitsubishi, Babu was waking up the magnificent world of doing business with Japanese on frozen shrimp.

Premier Marine Enterprises launched in 1997 was expanded to seafood processing unit in three years. Premier seafoods Exim Pvt Ltd another company formed in 2000, bagged a trial order from the leading food processing company, Maruha Nichiro in Japan. That was just the beginning.
