Deshadan came into being in 2000 with Deshadan Tours and Travels which promoted outbound tourism to Maldives and Srilanka. The success and recognition that came in a span of just 4 years prompted Deshadan to foray into resorts resulting in establishment of Deshadan Mountain Resort, Kerala's highest mountain resort in Munnar in the year 2004.
